Planning something special should feel exciting, not confusing. Whether you're booking a romantic picnic for two, celebrating a birthday, planning a beautiful brunch, or gathering everyone for Movie Night, we've answered some of the questions guests ask most before booking The Picnic Loft.

What Is Included in a Picnic Experience?

Each experience is different, but your booking includes the styling, décor, equipment, setup, and breakdown listed in your selected package. Depending on the experience, your setup may include low picnic tables, rugs, pillows, tableware, florals, candles, decorative accents, shade options, serving stations, or other specialty pieces. The easiest way to know exactly what's included is to view the individual experience before booking.

Do You Provide Food and Drinks?

Unless specifically stated in the package description, The Picnic Loft provides styling and setup, not food or beverages. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks or arrange catering. Some specialty experiences are different. For example, our Movie Night Experience includes light movie-night snacks, freshly popped popcorn, hot cocoa, coffee, and tea. Heavy meals are not included.

Where Can I Have My Picnic?

We create experiences at private homes, apartments, Airbnbs, hotels, private venues, and approved outdoor locations throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas. For public parks, the client is responsible for obtaining any required reservation or permit before setup. We cannot set up at a public park without the appropriate approval.

Can You Set Up Indoors?

Absolutely! Luxury picnics aren't just for the park. Many of our experiences can be created indoors at your home, apartment, Airbnb, hotel, or private venue as long as there is enough space for the complete setup. Indoor experiences are especially great when you don't want weather deciding whether your plans happen.

What Happens If It Rains?

We closely monitor the weather leading up to outdoor bookings. The Picnic Loft does not provide refunds due to weather. If conditions make an outdoor setup unsafe or there is a washout, you may have the option to move the experience indoors or reschedule, according to our weather and rescheduling policies. Safety always comes before the setup.

Do You Travel Outside Charlotte?

Yes! We serve Charlotte and surrounding communities. There is no travel fee within 25 miles of Charlotte. Locations more than 25 miles outside Charlotte are subject to a $1.50-per-mile round-trip travel fee. Any applicable travel charges will be discussed before your booking is confirmed.

Can I Customize My Setup?

Yes. Our website photos show the standard styling for each experience, but custom designs may be available. If you'd like colors, décor, or styling significantly different from the advertised setup, a $150 customization fee applies and will be invoiced separately.

Do You Offer Balloon Décor?

No. The Picnic Loft does not provide balloon designs. Our specialty is creating beautiful environments through tablescapes, florals, textiles, lighting, candles, pillows, rugs, specialty structures, and carefully selected decorative details.

How Early Should I Arrive?

We ask that the client be present when our team arrives so you can direct us to the exact setup location. Because every property and venue is different, knowing exactly where you want the experience prevents delays and allows our team to begin setting up promptly.

How Do I Reserve My Date?

Your date is not secured until the required deposit has been paid.

The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your experience. One reschedule is permitted according to our booking policies. Because our experiences require preparation, transportation, and styling, we recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and special occasions.
