Booking Policies
Advance Notice
The Picnic Loft requires 7–14 days advance notice for all picnic bookings to ensure proper planning and setup.
Public Park Locations - Very important
All Mecklenburg County parks require a permit starting at $100 per hour. This fee is not included in our picnic setup pricing, we will submit the permit on your behalf.
Location Considerations
While picnics can be hosted at public parks, many clients find that parks can be less convenient due to reservation requirements, permits, parking limitations, and varying park regulations.
For this reason, many of our guests choose to host their picnic experience at a private residence or approved private venue, where the setup process is typically smoother and more flexible.
Private locations also allow for easier access, greater privacy, and a more relaxed experience for you and your guests.
Alcohol Policy
Alcohol is not provided by The Picnic Loft. If alcohol will be present at the event, additional park permits may be required and any associated fees will be the responsibility of the client.
Food & Beverage Policy
The Picnic Loft does not provide food or beverages. Clients are responsible for bringing their own food and drinks to their event. If the picnic takes place at a public park, private venue, or other location with restrictions, clients are responsible for following all location rules regarding outside food, beverages, and alcohol.
Weather Policy
The Picnic Loft monitors weather conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. In the event of severe weather such as heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe conditions, picnics may be rescheduled based on availability.
Missing or Damaged Items
Clients are responsible for all equipment, décor, and rental items provided by The Picnic Loft during the event. We kindly ask that all guests treat the picnic setup with care so the experience can be enjoyed by future guests.
